Grief Literacy™ is a workplace discipline. See what that means

Organizational grief consulting for people-support teams

When grief enters the workplace, your people-support teams should not have to improvise.

Healing Forward Solutions equips HR and people-support leaders with a repeatable system for assessment, training, policy design, and reentry—so care does not depend on improvisation.

A structural problem

Leave may end.

Grief does not follow a policy calendar.

Policy ends Capacity rebuilds

02Build internal capability
03Embed repeatable practice

The problem

The Grief Gap is what policy alone cannot close.

Bereavement leave ends on a calendar. Grief does not. People return to meetings, decisions, and responsibilities while loss still affects cognition, identity, energy, and capacity.

The Grief Gap is the distance between an organization’s stated care and its ability to respond in practice. HFS gives people-support teams a structured way to close that distance.

01

Assess the system

Identify where policy, leadership practice, and employee experience do not support each other.

02

Equip the people

Give leaders shared language, decision frameworks, and practiced responses before loss arrives.

03

Structure reentry

Translate care into clear plans that respect dignity, privacy, workload, and real capacity.

The discipline

Grief Literacy gives organizations a repeatable way to respond.

Grief Literacy is HFS’s named, codified, teachable workplace discipline for helping people-support professionals respond to the losses people carry into an organization.

  • Shared terminology for grief at work
  • Trained personnel and scenario-based practice
  • Policy frameworks that recognize a broader range of loss
  • Reentry practices built around real human capacity
The result

A shared organizational capability that can be taught, practiced, and improved.

Consulting services

The Astrielle System™

Four focused services that move an organization from readiness assessment to trained practice, policy design, and structured reentry.

The Pulse Point

A focused diagnostic that establishes readiness, identifies policy friction, and sets priorities.

  • Readiness findings
  • Policy and resource scan
  • Prioritized action roadmap
02 Train

The Curielle Academy

Tiered, scenario-based training that turns shared language into practiced leadership skill.

  • Facilitated learning sessions
  • Workplace scenarios and scripts
  • Reinforcement guidance
03 Design

The Novella Blueprint

A modular policy engagement that aligns written standards, manager practice, and organizational care.

  • Existing-policy audit
  • Recommended policy language
  • Implementation guidance
04 Reenter

The Aurora Initiative

A collaborative three-day framework for a clear, compassionate, and workable return to work.

  • Capacity and workload mapping
  • HR and manager coordination
  • Privacy-centered reentry plan

Start where the need is clearest. Each Astrielle component is available as a focused engagement or can be combined into a coordinated pathway. HFS strengthens existing HR, benefits, EAP, and counseling relationships; it does not replace them.

Our origin

Built from lived loss. Developed for organizational practice.

From February 2023 through February 2024, I experienced three consecutive losses while I was in college. During that year, I saw how little structured grief expertise existed inside the institutions people rely on.

Healing Forward Solutions grew from that gap. I founded HFS to give organizations the terminology, curriculum, policy frameworks, and reentry practices they need to respond to grief with clarity and dignity.
